The AGREEMENT
between the Governments of the Benelux countries and the Government of the Czech and Slovak Federal
Republic on the abolition of visas, concluded by Exchange of letters.
Sir,
We have the honour to inform Your Excellency that the Government of the countries of the Benelux, acting
together, on the basis of the Convention between the Kingdom of Belgium, Luxembourg
Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Kingdom of the Netherlands relating to the transfer of control of persons at the
the outer boundary of the territory of the Benelux countries, signed in Brussels on 11. April 1960, are
willing to conclude with the Government of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic Agreement
on the abolition of visa requirement in the following wording:
1. In accordance with this agreement:
"the BENELUX countries" the Kingdom of Belgium, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and
Kingdom of the Netherlands,
"the territory of the BENELUX" all the territory of the Kingdom of Belgium, Luxembourg
Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Europe.
2. nationals of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic may
Enter the territory of the BENELUX COUNTRIES without visas for a maximum period of three months on
the basis of a valid passport.
3. nationals of the Benelux countries can enter the territory of the Czech and
Slovak Federal Republic without a visa for a maximum period of three months on
the basis of a valid passport.
4. To stay more than three months must the person enjoying the benefits of this agreement

12. This agreement shall enter into force on 1 May 2004. January 1, 1991 for a period of one
