on the agreement on cultural and scientific cooperation between the Government of the Czechoslovak

Socialist Republic and the Government of the Republic of Guayanské cooperative



On 15 December. September 1982 in Havana was signed an agreement on cultural and scientific

cooperation between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government

Guayanské Cooperative Republic. Agreement entered into force on

the basis of its article 11 on 4 December 2004. February 1983.



The Czech version of the agreement shall be published at the same time.

The AGREEMENT



on cultural and scientific cooperation between the Government of the Czechoslovak

Socialist Republic and the Government of the Republic of Guayanské cooperative



The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of Guayanské

the Cooperative Republic of



Desiring to develop relations and cooperation in the field of culture, education, and

Science,



convinced that this cooperation will contribute to the deepening of friendly

relations between the two States,



have decided to conclude this agreement and to this end have agreed as follows:



Article 1



The Contracting Parties shall promote cooperation in the field of culture, the arts,

the film, the education, science, press, radio and sports and between social

organisations of both States.



Article 2



The Contracting Parties shall encourage cooperation and the exchange of information and

of experience between cultural and art organizations to their States, and that

in particular:



and organizing various exhibitions on) the territory of the Contracting Parties,



(b)) the organisation of concerts, theatrical performances and other performances

artists,



(c) the presentation of the literary and publishing) and scientific works,



(d)), in exchange of books and other publications from the fields of culture, science and art,



e) umožňováním exchanges of experts on culture and the arts,



f) umožňováním exchanges and marketing of films on a commercial and non-commercial

basis,



(g) reciprocal visits of film umožňováním) staffs.



Article 3



The Contracting Parties shall provide in accordance with the provisions of its

States access to archives, libraries, museums and galleries.



Article 4



The Contracting Parties shall facilitate the participation of Heads of State of the other Contracting

party at congresses, conferences, festivals and other events with

international participation organized on the territory of one of the Contracting Parties.



Article 5



The Contracting Parties shall encourage cooperation and the exchange of information and

experiences between educational organizations of their States, and in particular:



and by promoting contacts between) universities and scientific institutions,

(c)) the exchange of information about life in the States of the Contracting Parties for the purpose of

the dissemination of objective information in the textbooks and the curriculum.



Article 6



The Contracting Parties shall, in accordance with their capabilities to provide scholarships

students and postgraduantům to study at its universities and other

educational establishments, as well as facilitating participation in the technical courses

in the relevant institutions, eg. from the cinema or animation.



Article 7



The Contracting Parties will examine options to ensure studies performed,

composite tests and diplomas obtained in the territory of one of the Contracting Parties

partial or full force also in the territory of the other Contracting Party.

If they consider it necessary, have concluded a specific agreement about it.



Article 8



The Contracting Parties shall promote the cooperation of their press

agencies and develop cooperation broadcasting organizations of their States.

They will also allow for the mutual visits of workers collective

the media.



Article 9



The Contracting Parties shall promote cooperation in the field of sport and between

youth organisations of their States.



Article 10



The Contracting Parties shall, for the purposes of execution of this agreement to negotiate on certain

the period of cooperation programmes, which will include the agreed actions, as well as

Article 11



This agreement is subject to approval by the national laws of the States

the Contracting Parties and shall enter into force on the date on which the Contracting Parties

This approval in writing.



Article 12



This agreement is concluded for a period of five years and will be tacitly renewed

always about the next five years, unless one of the Contracting Parties in writing

notice of termination at least six months before the expiry of the current period

Given in Havana on 15 December. September 1982, in duplicate in the Czech language and

English, both texts being equally authentic.
