The Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that the exchange of notes dated
July 12, 1990 in Oslo and 13. July 1990 in Prague has been negotiated
Agreement between the Government of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic and the Government
The Kingdom of Norway on the abolition of visa requirements. The agreement entered into
force on the basis of its article 7 day 15. July 1990.

Excellence,
I have the honour to inform you that intend to simplify travel between Norway
and the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic, the Government of Norway is ready
to conclude with the Government of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic agreement under
the following terms and conditions:
Article 1
Czechoslovak citizens, holders of valid passports, the Czechoslovak
free stay of the Kingdom through any border
crossing for international travel and reside in the Norwegian

months calculated from the date of entry into the territory of one of the Nordic countries,

Article 6
Each Contracting Party may, for reasons of public order, temporarily suspend
the implementation of the above provisions, in whole or in part, with the
the exception of article 5. Such suspension shall be notified immediately to the other
Contracting Party through the diplomatic channel.
Article 7
This agreement shall enter into force on the 15. July 1990. Agreement may be
denounced by one of the parties in writing, the cancellation shall take effect
one month from the date of its notification.
In the event that the above proposals are acceptable to the Government of the Czech and
Slovak Federal Republic, I have the honour to propose that this letter and
Letter to your Excellency's reply constitute an agreement between our Governments in
