Ministry of Foreign Affairs communicates the 12 October. January 1996

Prague signed the agreement on cooperation in agriculture between the Government of the United

the Republic and the Government of the State of Israel.



The agreement on the basis of its article 6, entered into force on 29 April 2006. April

1996.



The Czech version of the agreement shall be published at the same time.



The AGREEMENT



on cooperation in agriculture between the Government of the United Kingdom and the Government of the State of

Israel



In order to encourage and ensure effective cooperation in agriculture

concluding, the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the State of Israel, hereinafter referred to as "the Contracting

the parties ", the following agreement:



Article 1



Cooperation in agricultural research



The Contracting Parties agree to cooperate in different areas

agricultural research, taking in account the needs of both States.



The cooperation will cover the following areas: the protection provided for

soil fertility, protection of water resources from znečistěním, protection

plant including integrated biological protection, nutrition and fertilization,

technology of greenhouse farms, fruit and vegetable care after

the harvest and exchange of genetic materials, fruit crops and vines.



Article 2



Veterinary services



Cooperation in the field of veterinary medicine will include the following

area: prevention, diagnosis and treatment of various diseases of animals, development of

new biological resources, cooperation in the field of Immunology,

hygiene and quality of the food of animal origin.



Article 3



Issues related to land and water



The Contracting Parties agree to cooperate in the abovementioned areas, with

emphasis on the following main topics: water resources management,

groundwater protection, ways of recycling water for the needs of agriculture,

the development of irrigation and drainage systems.



Article 4



Education in the field of agriculture



The Contracting Parties agree to cooperate in the field of education

Agriculture, including organising lectures and the use of computers for

different areas of agriculture, the participation of students in international courses

in Israel, organized by the Department for international cooperation

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Centre for the development of international

cooperation in agriculture in the Ministry of agriculture. All of the other

points of cooperation, on which both parties agree, will be contained in

plans of cooperation undertaken under this agreement.



Article 5



The procedure for implementation of the agreement

f) if one of the parties suggests a recurring schedule changes

or sends a larger group, the Joint Committee shall discuss these changes.



g) each Contracting Party shall pay the expenses related to the international

transport of its representatives. Subsistence expenses of visiting representatives will be

pay the host Contracting Party.



h) the agreement is based on reciprocity, and each party will

to study the possibility of obtaining international financial sources for implementation

joint plans for cooperation.



Article 6



Final provisions



This agreement shall enter into force as from the date of receipt of the later of the diplomatic

entry into force of the agreement.



Agreement shall be concluded for five years from the date of entry into force. In the case that

None of the Contracting Parties denounces it in writing through the diplomatic channel Agreement

automatically extended for a further five-year period.
