amending certain laws in connection with the adoption of the law on

the armed forces of the United States and the Act on ensuring defence of the Czech

of the Republic of



Parliament has passed the following Act of the United States:



Article. (I)



Act No. 15/1993 Coll., on the army of the United States and of amendments and additions to the

some related regulations, is amended as follows:



1. section 1, 2 and 4 shall be deleted.



2. Part six shall be deleted.



Article II



Act No. 115/1993 Coll., on the Office of the President of the Republic, is amended as follows:



1. § 5, including footnote # 3):



"§ 5



The military Office of the President of the Republic is a military unit of the armed

the forces of the United States. The tasks of the Military Office of the President of the Republic,

the appointment and removal of the Chief of the military Office of the President

States and its jurisdiction governs special legislation. ^ 3)

2. Footnote 4) is repealed.



Article. (III)



Act No. 155/1995 Coll., on pension insurance, as amended by Act No.

134/1997 Coll. and Act No. 289/1997 Coll., is amended as follows:



1. in § 5 para. 1 (b). p) and in section 16, paragraph 2. 4 (b). (d)), the words "the army

The United States "shall be replaced by" the armed forces of the United States ".



2. Footnote. ^ 5) is added:



"5) Act No. 221/1999 Coll., on the soldiers of the occupation.".



Article IV



This Act shall take effect on 1 January 2000. December 20, 1999.
