of the Republic and the Government of the Libyan Arab Republic

Agreement entered into force pursuant to its article 9 on 22 October 2005. July
1976.
The Czech version of the agreement shall be published at the same time.

The AGREEMENT
on cultural cooperation between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist
of the Republic and the Government of the Libyan Arab Republic
The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Libyan Arab
of the Republic,
Desiring to develop mutual cooperation between the two countries in the
the field of culture, education, science, health, and sports,
convinced that such cooperation will contribute to the strengthening of the mutual
good relations and to strengthening the friendly ties between the people of both countries,
have agreed as follows:
Article 1
Both sides will exert all efforts to develop mutual cooperation and
the exchange of information, knowledge and experience in the field of culture, education,
Science, health, the arts and sport.
To meet this goal will take place:
and the exchange of scientists, professors), experts, researchers, students, and
trainees;
(b) the exchange of cultural delegations), art files, folkloristic
groups;
c) cultural, scientific and artistic exhibitions in both countries;
(d)) the exchange of books, publications and scientific and cultural materials;
(e)) the exchange of sports groups and delegations of young people.
Article 2
Each Party shall provide, within its capabilities to the other side of the scholarships
to study and short-term internships at the universities, arts universities
schools, scientific research institutes and training centres.
Article 3
The two parties shall endeavour to reach agreement on the ekvivalentnosti
certificates, diplomas and academic degrees, provided by schools,
universities and institutes in both countries.
Article 4
Both parties will do all it can to ensure the correct objective information
about the culture, history and geography of the other country in their curriculum and
the textbooks.
Article 5
Both parties will allow scientists and researchers to visit the libraries
museums, historical objects and archives, in the framework of the laws and regulations
in force in both States. They will also exchange information about discoveries
and historical documents relating to the other country.
Article 6
Both sides will promote the cooperation of its radio, television,
film and print organizations and their leaders. For this purpose,
will exchange programs, information and other materials contributing to the
mutual understanding of the people of both countries.
Article 7
Both sides will promote the translation and publishing (each in their own country)
the most important works of the other side of the field of literature, science, art, and
culture.
Article 8
For the implementation of this agreement, both parties will negotiate the detailed programs
containing practical steps to comply with the articles of this agreement.
Article 9
This agreement shall enter into force on the date of exchange of instruments of ratification
taken in accordance with the procedure in force in both countries.
The agreement will be valid for a period of five years from the date of the acquisition of its effectiveness. Will
automatically renewed at the same time, if one of the parties
notifies the other party of its desire to modify or cancel the contract, and
six months before the expiry of its validity.
Done at Tripoli on 11 July. Šawál, 1395 Hijrah, which corresponds to 15. October 1975,
in two originals, each in the Czech Republic and the Arab language, both
texts being equally authentic.
