The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Republic of Indonesia.
With the Treaty, the National Assembly expressed its consent March 19. September 1961 and
the President of the Republic ratified it on 11 July. December 1961. The instruments of ratification
the instruments were exchanged the day 10. January 1963 in Jakarta.
According to its article 7 of the Treaty force 10 June. January 1963.
The Czech version of the Treaty shall be designated at the same time.

about the friendship and cooperation between the Czechoslovak Socialist
the Republic of Indonesia and the Republic of

non-interference in internal affairs, equality and mutual benefits
further develop and strengthen friendly relations and cooperation between the

firmly determined to help alleviate international tension, creating
confidence between States and the development of international cooperation,
convinced that the further consolidation and development of friendly relations and
mutual cooperation between Czechoslovakia and Indonesia corresponds to the interests of the

Desiring to pursue in their relations with the objectives and principles
The United Nations and the resolutions of the XIII. the meeting of the General
Assembly of the United Nations on the implementation of the measures and
spread peace and neighbourly relations between States,
have decided to conclude this Treaty on friendship and cooperation:
Article 1
The two Contracting Parties solemnly declare that both States will participate in the
all international instruments whose aim is to ensure world peace and
safety, developing peaceful cooperation and complete the liquidation of colonialism
and imperialism in all its manifestations and which are in accordance with the objectives and
the principles of the Charter of the United Nations.
Article 2
The two parties will exchange views on important international
matters relating to the interests of both parties.
Article 3
The Contracting Parties undertake to develop their relations and mutual cooperation
on the basis of mutual respect for sovereignty and non-interference in
Internal Affairs, equality and mutual benefits.
Article 4
The Contracting Parties agree to resolve all disputes, which between them could
arise exclusively by peaceful means and in accordance with the provisions of
The Charter of the United Nations.
Article 5
The parties are convinced that the mutually beneficial economic
cooperation is a solid foundation for their peaceful and friendly relations, and
therefore undertake to further strengthen this cooperation in the interest of the construction and
the development of both countries.
Article 6
The two Contracting Parties agree that, in the interest of the widest possible knowledge
the cultural wealth of the other country and a permanent increase in the technical level
its economy will continue to develop and promote mutual relations in the
the field of education, culture, science and technology and contribute to the
deepening the understanding between the peoples of the two countries.
Article 7
1. this Treaty is subject to ratification and shall enter into force on the date of the exchange of
instruments of ratification, which will occur in Jakarta at the time as short as possible.
2. this agreement is concluded for an unlimited period of time and will remain in
of validity, if any of the Contracting Parties denounces it in writing
twelve months in advance.
Done at Prague on 29. in May 1961, in duplicate in the Czech,
the Indonesian and English, while all three texts are equally
force.
