Treaty between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Polish
the people's Republic about changing the course of frontiers and of certain
other issues related to the construction and operation of the Polish dam
on Dunajci
21 June. March 1975 in Warsaw signed a contract between
The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Polish people's Republic
to change the course of national borders and on certain other issues
related to the construction and operation of dams on the Polish Dunajci.
With the Treaty expressed their consent the Federal Assembly of the Czechoslovak
Socialist Republic and the president of the Republic has ratified it.
The instruments of ratification were exchanged in Prague on 13. February 1976.
According to its article 5, the Treaty entered into force on 14. March 1976.
The Slovak version of the Treaty shall be designated at the same time. ^ ^ *)

Contract

Republic about changing the course of frontiers and of certain other
issues related to the construction and operation of dams on the Polish
Dunajci
The President of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Polish Council of State
the people's Republic of
guided by the desire to create in a spirit of mutual understanding necessary
the prerequisites for the construction and operation of dams on the Polish Dunajci
have decided to conclude this agreement and to this end have designated their
agents:
the President of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic
Francis Hagaru, Minister of forestry and water management of the Slovak
Socialist Republic,
The State Council of the Polish people's Republic
Jerzy Maciaka, Deputy Minister of agriculture,
After the exchange of the full powers, found in good and due
the form, have agreed on the following provisions:
Article 1
(1) the progress of the Czechoslovakia-Polish border is changing in space
the Czechoslovak village of Lysa nad Dunajcem, district of Poprad and the Polish village
Sromowce Wyžne, Nowy Targ district and the Czechoslovak village of Lenártov, district of
Bardejov and Polish village Wojkowa, district of Nowy Sacz.
(2) the progress of the State border from the border character of 114/7 to border
character II/118 (border section II) in the area of the Czechoslovak village of Lysa nad
Dunajec, Poprad District, and the Polish village of Sromowce Wyžne, Nowy Targ County
specify these border and measuring documents:
and a description of the Protocol during the border) line with the table of figures,
the leaves number II/35 II/36,
(b) sketch the line over the border) at a scale of 1:5000, leaves the number II/35 and
II/36,
(c)) clade sketches during the border lines in the scale 1:50 000 for the
border section II, sheet number 2,
(d) a plan of the area of the national territory), the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic
issued by the Polish people's Republic in the scale 1:2500.
(3) the progress of the State border from the border character of 278/8 after border character
281/3 (border section I) in the area of the Czechoslovak village of Lenártov, district of
Bardejov and Polish village Wojkowa, the district Nowy Sacz specify these border and
measuring documents:

(4) the documents referred to in paragraphs 2 and 3 are an integral part of this

(5) the Border documents referred to in paragraph 2 (a). and), b), (c)) and in the
paragraph 3 (b). and (b))), (c)) shall be replaced by the competent border documents,
which are an integral part of the Treaty between the Czechoslovak Republic and
Polish people's Republic on the final demarcation of the State border,

Article 2
(1) pursuant to article 1 paragraph 2 withdraws Czechoslovak Socialist
Republic part of its territory in the area of the municipality of Lysá nad Dunajcem, okr.
Poprad area of 24.9439 ha, Polish people's Republic. Real estate, as well as

(2) pursuant to article 1, paragraph 3, and in connection with paragraph 1 of this

into force of this Treaty in the amount and in the manner laid down in particular.
Article 4
Polish party shall take the necessary measures to ensure that, as a result of the construction and
the operation of the dam at Dunajci to avoid damage on the territory of the

Article 5
This Treaty is subject to ratification and shall enter into force on the thirtieth day after the
