Parliament has passed the following Act of the Czech Republic:
PART THE FIRST
§ 1
The national statistical service
(1) the State statistical service is an activity that involves getting
data, creation of statistical information on the social, economic,
demographic and ecological development of the Czech Republic and its
the individual parts, providing statistical information and their
the publication. Part of it is also ensuring the comparability of
statistical information and compliance with the obligations of international treaties in the
the field of statistics, which the Czech Republic is bound.
(2) the part of the State statistical service does not collect or
requesting information and documents to be carried out on the basis of specific

§ 2
Definition of terms

§ 3
The authorities of the executing State statistical service

§ 4
The scope of the Czech Statistical Office
(1) the Czech Statistical Office ensures the acquisition and processing of data for the
statistical purposes and provides statistical information to public authorities,

the economic, demographic and ecological development of the Czech Republic and
its individual parts,

imposes penalties for their violation,
l) creates and manages the statistical classification, statistical classifiers and
statistical registers and provides information from them,
m) provides statistical information to a foreign country,
n) cooperate with international organisations; in particular, is involved in the
the creation of the European communities statistics ^ 2b)
about) uses identification numbers and identification numbers of the establishments and in
the cases laid down by a special law ^ 2i) is assigned,
p) State administration in the field of processing of the results of the elections to the
Councils of territorial self-governing units, Parliament of the Czech

§ 5

§ 6
The Czech Statistical Council

§ 8
Surveys for natural persons

§ 9

§ 9a
The provision of data from other information systems
(1) the Ministry of the Interior or the police of the Czech Republic provides Czech
the Statistical Office for the performance of the scope of this law
and of the population registry) for natural persons, the following information:
1. last name,
2. the name, or names,
3. type and the address of the place of stay,
4. date, place and County of birth; for the data subject, who was born in
abroad, the date, the place and the State where he was born,
5. date, place and County of death; in the case of the death of the data subject outside the territory

§ 10
The program of statistical surveys
(1) the programme of statistical surveys provides for the Czech Statistical Office

§ 11
Statistical surveys without reporting requirements

§ 12

§ 14

Conditions for the fulfilment of the reporting obligations of the

§ 17
Provision of confidential statistical data
(1) the authorities of the executing State statistical service

§ 19
Statistical classification and statistical classifiers
