By means of which items 26 and 28 are partially modified from Act 99, 1993.

COLOMBIA CONGRESS

DECRETA:

General provisions

ARTICLE 1o. Article 28 of Act 99 of 1993 will be as follows:

Article 28. From the Director General of Regional Autonomous Corporations or Sustainable Development.

The Director General will be the legal representative of the Corporation and its first executive authority. He will be appointed by the Board of Directors for a period of four (4) years, counted from 1 January 2012, and may be re-elected for one time.

PARAGRAFO 1o. The period of the Board members that treat literals (e), (f), and (g) of Article 26 of Act 99, 1993, shall be equal to that of the Director of the Corporation Regional or Sustainable Development Autonomous., and may be reeligible.

PARAGRAFO 2o. The process of choosing the Directors of Regional Autonomous Corporations or Sustainable Development, should be carried out by the Board of Directors in the quarter immediately before the beginning of the period respective institutional.

PARAGRAFO 3o. The process of choosing representatives of the private sector, before the Directing Council of Regional Autonomous Corporations or Sustainable Development, will have to be carried out by the members of the private sector. sector.

ARTICLE 2o. ACTION PLANS. The term of the Regional Autonomous Corporations or Sustainable Development Action Plans will have a projection of four (4) years. The Ministry of Environment, Housing and Territorial Development shall make appropriate adjustments with the relevant regulations, in force at the date of issue of this law.

TRANSIENT PARAGRAPH.

ARTICLE 3o. TRANSITION. To achieve the approval of the term of the current Directors General of the Regional Autonomous Corporations and Sustainable Development and its members of the Board of Directors with the period of Governors and Mayors is required a single transition period, for this:

The period of the current Directors-General of the Regional Autonomous Corporations and Sustainable Development, and that of the members of the Board of Directors that deal with the literals (e), (f), and (g) of the article 26 of Act 99, 1993, will be extended by two (2) years, that is until December 31, 2011.

PARAGRAFO. In relation to the planning instruments for the environmental management of the current administrations of the Regional Autonomous Corporations and Sustainable Development, the National Government through of the Ministry of Environment, Housing and Territorial Development will issue the respective regulations.

ARTICLE 4. VALIDITY. This law governs from its date of enactment and especially repeals article 28 of Law 99 of 1993, as well as other provisions that are contrary to it.
