amending the electoral code (SG, issue 19 of 2014)

§ 1. In art. 46 the following modifications are made:

1. Paragraph 3 is replaced by the following:

"(3) the Commission consists of 18 members, including the President, Vice-Presidents and Secretary, offered by the parliamentary represented parties and coalitions, as well as one member proposed by the parties and coalitions that have chosen with their lists, members of the European Parliament but are not parliamentary."

2. Paragraph 8 shall be replaced by the following: "(8) in the appointment of members of the Central Electoral Commission keeps the ratio between the parliamentary represented parties and coalitions. Representatives of one party or coalition may not have a majority in the Commission. "

§ 2. In art. 218, para. 4 the word "box" is replaced by "splat".

§ 3. In art. 238, para. 4, second sentence, the word "box" is replaced by "circle".

§ 4. In art. 261, para. 1, paragraph 4, the word "squares" is replaced by "circles" and the word "box" is replaced by "splat".

§ 5. In art. 265, para. 3, paragraph 2, the word "box" is replaced by "circle".

§ 6. In art. 278, para. 4 the word "box" is replaced by "the circle" and the word "squares" is replaced by "circles".

§ 7. In art. 280, para. 4 the word "box" is replaced by "circle".

§ 8. In art. 371. 1, paragraph 4, the word "squares" is replaced by "circles" and the word "box" is replaced by "splat".

§ 9. In art. 421, al. 1, item 5, the word "squares" is replaced by "circles" and the word "box" is replaced by "splat".

§ 10. In art. 427, para. 3, paragraph 2, the word "box" is replaced by "circle".

§ 11. In art. 437, para. 4 the word "box" is replaced by "the circle" and the word "squares" is replaced by "circles".

§ 12. In art. 439. 6 the word "box" is replaced by "circle".

Final provisions

§ 13. The President of the Republic issued a decree for completing the composition of the Central Electoral Commission in accordance with the amendment of art. 46, para. 3 within three days from the date of entry into force of this law.

§ 14. The law shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette.

The law was adopted by the 42-Otto National Assembly on 11 April 2014 and is stamped with the official seal of the National Assembly.
