DECREE:
To be published in the "Official Gazette" Law adopting the Declaration on art. 287, para. 1 of the Convention of the United Nations Law of the Sea for the recognition of the jurisdiction of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea adopted by HLIIІ National Assembly on November 5, 2015

adopting the Declaration on art. 287, para. 1 of the Convention of the United Nations Law of the Sea for the recognition of the jurisdiction of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea
Sole Article. Republic of Bulgaria in accordance with Art. 287, para. 1 of the Convention of the United Nations Law of the Sea, ratified by law (SG. 38 of 1996) (prom. SG. 73 and 74 of 1996) in force in the Republic of Bulgaria 14 June 1996, adopted the following declaration:
"In accordance with Art. 287, para. 1 of the Convention of the United Nations Law of the Sea Republic of Bulgaria recognizes the jurisdiction of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea to settle disputes concerning the interpretation or application of this Convention. "
Final provisions
§ 1. In Art . 1 of the adoption of the Declaration recognizing the compulsory jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice to lift its reservations on the provisions of certain international conventions providing such jurisdiction (SG. 41 of 1992) after the words "except" added "disputes arising from the Convention of the United Nations law of the sea, other multilateral or bilateral international treaty or agreement in the field of maritime law as well as customary international law in the field of maritime law, including, but not limited disputes on rights of navigation, exploration and exploitation of living and non-living natural resources, protection and preservation of the marine environment, delimitation of maritime boundaries and spaces and on. "
§ 2. This Act shall enter into force on the day of its promulgation in the "Official Gazette".

The law was adopted by the 43rd National Assembly on November 5, 2015 and was affixed with the official seal of the National Assembly.
