DECREE OF June 23, 2003.

Homologa the administrative demarcation of the WaiWái Indigenous Land, located in the Municipalities of Caracaraí, Caroebe and São João da Baliza, in the State of Roraima.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, in the use of the assignment that gives him the art. 84, inciso IV, of the Constitution, and with a view to the arts. 19, § 1º, of the Law no 6,001, of December 19, 1973, and the 5º of the Decree no 1,775, of January 8, 1996,

DECRETA:

Art. 1º It is homologated to administrative demarcation, promoted by the National Indigenous Foundation-FUNAI, of Indigenous land intended for the permanent possession of the indigenous WaiWái group, described below: the Indigenous Land named WaiWái, with surface area of four hundred and five thousand, six hundred and ninety-eight hectares and eighty five centiars and perimeter of three hundred and eight thousand, seven hundred and ninety nine metres and twenty-one centimetres, situated in the Municipalities of Caracaraí, Caroebe and Saint John of the Baliza, in the State of Roraima, circumscribes to the following limits: NORTH: departing from Point 01 = Point 10 (T. I. Jacamim), of digitized geodetic coordinates 01 ° 46 '00 " N and 59 ° 48' 40" WGr., located on the left bank of an igarapé without denomination, affluent of the left margin of the Igarapé Sales, follows by a straight line up to Point 02 = Point 09 (T. Art. 2º The indigenous land of which it treats this Decree, situated on the border strip, submits itself to the provisions of the art. 20, § 2º, of the Constitution.

Art. 3º This Decree takes effect on the date of its publication.
