DECREE NO. 6,178, OF 1º AUGUST 2007.

Disposes on the execution of the Rectification Act, of December 19, 2006, of the Economic Supplementation Agreement no 59, between the Governments of the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Argentine Republic, the Republic of Paraguay and the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, States Parties to MERCOSUR, and the Governments of the Republic of Colombia, the Republic of Ecuador and the Republic Bolivarian of Venezuela.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, in the use of the assignment that confers the art. 84, inciso IV, of the Constitution, and

Whereas the Treaty of Montevideo of 1980, which created the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI), firmed by Brazil on August 12, 1980 and approved by the National Congress, through the Legislative Decree no 66 of November 16, 1981, provides for the modality of Complementation Agreement Economic;

Considering that the Governments of the Federative Republic of Brazil, of the Republic Argentina, the Republic of Paraguay and the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, States-Parties to the MERCOSUR, and the Governments of the Republic of Colombia, the Republic of Ecuador and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, based on the Treaty of Montevideo 1980, signed, on October 18, 2004, the Economic Supplementation Agreement no 59, incorporated into Brazilian domestic law by the Decree no 5,361, of January 31, 2005;

Whereas the General Secretariat of the ALADI, in the use of the colleges that gives it Resolution 30, of August 17 of 1983, of the Committee of Representatives of the Association, lavished, on December 19, 2006, Ata of rectification of the Economic Supplementation Agreement no 59;

DECRETA:

Art. 1st Ata of Rectification, of December 19, 2006, of the Economic Supplementation Agreement no 59, between the Governments of the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Argentine Republic, the Republic of Paraguay and the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, States Parties to MERCOSUR, and the Governments of the Republic of Colombia, the Republic of Ecuador and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, apprising by copying to the present Decree, will be executed and fulfilled as entirely as it contains.

Art. 2nd This Decree comes into effect on the date of its publication.

ATA OF REATION OF ECONOMIC SUPPLEMENTATION AGREEMENT NO. 59

In the city of Montevideo, to the nineteen days of the month of December two thousand and six, the General Secretariat of Association Latin American Integration (ALADI) in the use of the colleges that gives it Resolution 30 of the Committee of Representatives, as the depositary of the Agreements and Protocols signed by the Governments of the Members of the ALADI, and in accordance with the established in its Article Third, makes the record:

First. -That the Permanent Delegation of Brazil to the ALADI and MERCOSUR, by Note No 050, dated on February 23, 2006, communicated to the General Secretariat the existence of a typo in the Portuguese version of the Economic Supplementation Agreement No 59, signed between the Governments of the Argentine Republic, the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Republic of Paraguay and the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, States Parties to MERCOSUR and the Governments of the Republic of Colombia, the Republic of Ecuador and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Paises-Members of the Andean Community, on October 18, 2004, requesting its amendment by the procedure laid down by the Resolution 30 of the Committee of Representatives.

Second. -What has the error found to be referring to the inclusion of the word? in the Explanatory Note (4) to Appendix 2 of Annex II, Brazil-Colombia, which does not figure in the version in Spanish and should be deleted.

Third. -That the existence of this error was found by the General Secretariat, leading to the knowledge of the Representation of Argentina to the MERCOSUR and the ALADI, of the Permanent Delegation of Brazil to the ALADI and to the MERCOSUR, of the Permanent Representation of the Colombia to the ALADI, from the Permanent Representation of Ecuador to the ALADI, from the Permanent Representation of Paraguay to the ALADI and to MERCOSUR, from the Permanent Representation of Uruguay to the ALADI and to the MERCOSUR and the Permanent Representation of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the ALADI, by note ALADI/SUB-JRB-158/06, of March 16, 2006, setting a 5-day calendar deadline to make observations.

Room. -That transacted that deadline without having received submissions from the signatory countries, this General Secretariat proceeded, in the Portuguese version of the Economic Supplementation Agreement No 59, signed on October 18, 2004, between the Governments of the Republic Argentina, of the Federative Republic of Brazil, of the Republic of Paraguay and the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, States Parties to MERCOSUR and the Governments of the Republic of Colombia, the Republic of Ecuador and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Countries-Members of the Andean Community, to effecting the corresponding modification.

And, for which conste, this General Secretariat lavishly lavishly lavish the present Rectification Act at the place and date indicated, in the Portuguese and Spanish languages, being both texts being equally valid.
