I do know that the FEDERAL SENATE has approved, and I Antonio Carlos Magalhães, President, in the terms of the art. 48, item 28, of the Rules of Procedure, promulgated the following.

RESOLUTION NO. 66, OF 2000.

Authorizes the State of Rio de Janeiro to hire credit operation with the Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES), at the total value of R$ 222,823,210.00 (two hundred and twenty-two million, eight hundred and twenty-three thousand, two hundred and ten reais), intended for the financing of the Subway / RJ's Expansion and Recovery Program, with resources from the FAT.

THE FEDERAL SENATE

resolves:

Art. 1º It is the state of Rio de Janeiro authorized, pursuant to Resolution No. 78, of 1998, of the Federal Senate, to hire credit operation with the Bank of Economic and Social Development (BNDES), at the total value of R$ 222,823,210.00 (two hundred and twenty-two million, eight hundred and twenty-three thousand, two hundred and ten reais).

Single paragraph. The authorized credit operation is intended for the financing of the Metrô / RJ's Expansion and Recovery Program.

Art. 2º The credit operation will be carried out under the following conditions:

I-value of the operation: R$ 222,823,210.00 (two hundred and twenty-two million, eight hundred and twenty-three thousand, two hundred and ten reais):

II-interest rate 0.4074% a.m. (four thousand and seventy four tenths of thousandths per cent per month) increased by TJLP;

III-update index: no;

IV-guarantees: Federal transfers regarding the Participation Fund of the states-FPE and IPI/Exportation;

V-deadline: one hundred and thirty-eight months after forty-two months of grace, being the period of use thirty-six months:

VI-maturity: 2015;

VII-purpose: execution of completion and expansion works of the stretch of the Metrô/RJ between Cardinal Arcoverde Station and the future Siqueira Campos Station;

VIII-release: from 2001 a to 2003;

IX- principal amortization: in one hundred and thirty-eight monthly installments after forty-two months of grace;

X-payment of the interest: quarterly, in the grace period and monthly in the amortization phase.

Art. 3º The authorization granted by this Resolution is to be exercised within two hundred and seventy days, counted from the date of its publication.

Art. 4º This Resolution comes into effect on the date of its publication.
