DECREE NO. 6,143, OF July 3, 2007.

Disposes on the execution of the Thirty-seventh Additional Protocol to the Economic Supplementation Agreement no 14, among the Governments of the Federative Republic of Brazil and the Argentine Republic, of June 20, 2007.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, in the use of the assignment that gives it the art. 84, inciso IV, of the Constitution, and

Whereas the Treaty of Montevideo of 1980, which created the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI), firmed by Brazil on August 12, 1980, and approved by the National Congress, through the Legislative Decree no 66, of November 16, 1981, provides for the modality of Complementation Agreement Economic;

Considering that the Plenipotentiaries of the Federative Republic of Brazil and of the Argentine Republic, on the basis of the Treaty of Montevideo of 1980, signed, in Montevideo, on December 20, 1980, the Economic Supplementation Agreement no 14, between the Governments of the Federative Republic of Brazil and the Argentine Republic, incorporated to Brazilian domestic law by the Decree no 60, of March 15, 1991;

Whereas the Plenipotentiaries of the Federative Republic of Brazil and the Argentine Republic, on the basis of the Treaty of Montevideo of 1980, signed, on June 20, 2007, in Montevideo, the Thirtieth Seventh Additional Protocol to the Economic Supplementation Agreement in the 14, between the Governments of the Federative Republic of Brazil and the Argentine Republic;

DECRETA:

Art. 1st The Thirty-seventh Additional Protocol to the Economic Supplementation Agreement no 14, among the Governments of the Federative Republic of Brazil and of the Argentine Republic of June 20, 2007, apensed by copy to the present Decree, shall be executed and fulfilled as entirely as it contains.

Art. 2nd This Decree comes into effect on the date of its publication.

ECONOMIC SUPPLEMENTATION AGREEMENT No 14 SIGNED BETWEEN A

ARGENTINE REPUBLIC and THE FEDERATIVE REPUBLIC OF BRAZIL

Thirty-seventh Additional Protocol

The Plenipotentiaries of the Argentine Republic and of the Federative Republic of Brazil, accredited by their respective governments second powers that were bestowed upon them in good and due form, deposited opportunely at the General Secretariat of the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI),

In view of the desirability of making coinciding the term of the terms stipulated in the Thirteenth Protocol Additional with the general conditions set for bilateral trade for the automotive sector established in the Thirtieth Fifth Additional Protocol.

RESOLVE:

Article Extend the duration of the Thirtieth Sixth Additional Protocol by June 30, 2008.

Article 2nd Additional Protocol shall enter into force concurrently on the date on which the Parties notify the General Secretariat of the ALADI on the completion of the legal formalities required in each of them for their application.

The General Secretariat of ALADI will be depositary of this Protocol, of which it will send copies duly authenticated to the signatory Governments.

IN FÉ THAN THE RESPECTIVE PLENIPOTENTIARIES subscribe to the present Protocol in the city of Montevideo at the twenty days of the month of June of the year two thousand and seven, in an original in the Spanish and Portuguese languages, being both texts being equally valid.
