DECREE OF June 25, 2001

Renova grants from the entities it mentions, to explore broadcasting services, and gives other arrangements.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, in the use of the assignments that confer upon you the arts. 84, inciso IV, and 223, caput, of the Constitution, 33, § 3º, of Law No. 4,117 of August 27, 1962, and 6º of Law No. 5,785 of June 23, 1972, and with a view to the provisions of the art. 6º, inciso I, of Decree No. 88,066, of January 26, 1983,

DECRETA:

Art. 1º It shall be renewed the granting of the above-mentioned entities, to explore, without the right of exclusivity, by the deadline of ten years, sound broadcasting service on average wave:

I? ENOCH FOUNDATION DE OLIVEIRA DE COMMUNICATING SOCIAL, from 1º May 1994, in the town of Governor Valadares, State of Minas Gerais, bestoed originarily to Radio Educator River Sweet Ltda., by the MVOP Portaria No. 531, June 10 th 1950, reinvigorated by the Portaria MC No. 58 of January 20, 1969, renewed by the Decree No. 90,308 of October 16, 1984 and transferred by the Decree of January 13, 1997, to the dealership of which it treats this inciso (Process No 50710.000120/94);

II? RADIO IBITURUNA LTDA., as of February 6, 1994, in the city of Governor Valadares, State of Minas Gerais, bestoed by the Decree No. 891 of April 12, 1962 and renewed by Decree No. 91,666 of September 20, 1985 (Case # 50710.000123/94);

III? RADIO DIFFUSORA DE SALINAS LTDA., as of January 4, 1995, in the city of Salinas, State of Minas Gerais, bestoiled by Decree No. 90,635, of December 5, 1984 (Process No. 50710.000752/94);

IV? TV AND RADIO NEWSPAPER OF THE COMMCIO LTDA., as of 1º November 1993, in the city of Caruaru, State of Pernambuco, originally bestoiled to the Company Journal of Commerce S. A, upon Decree No. 27,901 of March 21, 1950, renewed and transferred to the Radio Journal of the Commons Ltda., by Decree No. 91,381, 1º July 1985, and authorized to change its social denomination to the current one, as per Portaria MC No 144, of April 29, 1998 (Process No. 29103.000447/93);

V? TV AND RADIO NEWSPAPER OF THE COMMCIO LTDA., as of 1º May 1993, in the city of Garanhuns, State of Pernambuco, originally bestoiled to the Company Journal of Commercus S. Art. 2º It gets renewed, for ten years, from 1º May 1993, the grant to explore, without right of exclusivity, service of sound broadcasting in tropical wave, in the city of São Carlos, State of São Paulo, bestoded to the RADIO ARE CARLOS LTDA., by Portaria No 126, March 3, 1960, and renewed by Decree No. 92,134, of December 13, 1985 (Process No. 50830.000112/93).

Art. 3º Stay renovated, for fifteen years, as of May 17, 1999, the concession to explore, without the right of exclusivity, service of broadcasting sounds and images, in the city of Salvador, State of Bahia, bestoed to the TELEVISION BAHIA LTDA., by the Decree No. 89,624 of May 7, 1984 (Case No. 53640.001880/98).

Art. 4º The exploration of the broadcasting service, whose concessions are renewed by this Decree, reger? se?á by the Brazilian Code of Telecommunications, subsequent laws and their regulations.

Art. 5º The renewal of the concession will only produce legal effects after deliberation of the National Congress, pursuant to § 3º of the art. 223 of the Constitution.

Art. 6º This Decree comes into force on the date of its publication.
