DECREE OF October 11, 2007.

Creates the National Forest of Negsmiths, in the Municipality of Serrita, State of Pernambuco, with the limits it specifies, and gives other arrangements.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, in the use of the assignment that confers the art. 84, inciso IV, of the Constitution, and with a view to the provisions of the arts. 17 and 22 of the Law no 9,985, of July 18, 2000, and what is stated in Processes in the 02019.001813 /2005-66 and 02019.000523 /2005-03,

DECRETA:

Art. 1st It is created the National Forest of Negons, located in the Municipality of Serrita, in the State of Pernambuco, with approximate area of 3,000.04 ha, with the aim of promoting the sustainable multiple use of forest resources, the maintenance of germoplasm in situ of native forest species, inclusive of the characteristics of cerrado and caatinga vegetation, maintenance and protection of water resources and biodiversity, and the recovery of degraded areas.

Art. 2nd The National Forest of Blacksmiths has as confronting, to the north, Luiz Romão Sidrin and Luiz Eynard of Callou, to the South, Barbalhense Industry of Cement Portland-IBACIP and José Reginaldo Duarte, to the east, Francisco Martins da Cruz, José Ferreira da Cruz, Francisco Soares de Oliveira Sampaio, Manoel Henrique Martins and Raimundo Porfilo Nephew, and to the west, Francisco Romão de Souza and Francisco Vieira da Silva, being understood on the following perimeter: starts at Point M1, of approximate planed coordinates E=459634.235 and N=9118916.852; of this one, follows by an azimut of 201º1'22? Art. 3rd Caberá to the Chico Mendes Institute of Conservation of Biodiversity-Chico Mendes Institute to administer the National Forest of Negons, adopting the necessary measures to their effective implantation and protection.

Art. 4th The area where is inserted the National Forest of Blacksmiths will be acquired by the Chico Mendes Institute, with resources arising from the use of the Forest Reposition Rate already deposited in judgment, on the grounds of judicial sentence carried forward on trial delivered in the autos of Public Civil Action in the 90.0003703-4, originated from the Federal Justice of Pernambuco.

Art. 5th This Decree comes into effect on the date of its publication.
