DECREE NO 4,361, DE September 5, 2002

Promulga the Agreement for Implementation of Provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of December 10, 1982 on the Conservation and Planning of Transzonal Fish Populations and Highly Migratory Fish Populations.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, in the use of the attribution conferring you the art. 84, inciso VIII, of the Constitution,

Considering that the National Congress has approved through Legislative Decree No. 5, January 28 of 2000, the text of the Agreement for the Implementation of the provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of December 10, 1982 on the Conservation and Planning of Transzonal Fish Populations and Highly Skilled Fish Populations Migration, adopted in New York, on August 4, 1995 ;

Considering that the said Agreement entered into force, for Brazil on December 11, 2001, in the terms of your art. 40, paragraph 1 ;

D E C R E T A:

Art. 1º The Agreement for the Implementation of the provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of December 10, 1982 on the Conservation and Planning of Transzonal Fish Populations and Highly Migratory Fish Population, adopted in New York, on August 4, 1995, apse by copy to the present Decree, will be executed and fulfilled as entirely as it contains.

Art. 2º They are subject to approval of the National Congress any acts that may result in revision of the said Protocol, as well as any further adjustments that, in the terms of art. 49, inciso I, of the Federal Constitution, carries charges or engraved commitments to national heritage.

Art. 3º This Decree shall enter into force on the date of its publication.
