LEI N ° 9,956, DE January 12, 2000.

Prohibits the operation of self-service pumps at the fuel supply stations and gives other arrangements.

OPRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, I do know that the National Congress decrees and I sanction the following Law:

Art. 1 The operation of self-service pumps operated by the consumer itself in the fuel supply stations, throughout the national territory, shall be prohibited.

Art. 2. The disfulfillment of the provisions of this Act shall entail the application of a fine equivalent to two thousand UFIR to the offender fuel station and to the distributor to which the post is bound.

Single Paragraph. Recurrence in the discompliance of this Act will entail the payment of double the value of the fine set in the caput of this article, and, in the event of a finding of the third discompliance, at the closing of the post.

Art. 3 ° This Act shall enter into force on the date of its publication.
