DECREE NO7,676, DE February 6, 2012

Disposes about execution in the Territory National decision of the United Nations Security Council Sanctions Committee established by Resolution no 1970 (2011) relative to Libya, for which the list of entities subject to sanctions is amended.

THE CHAIRWOMAN OF THE REPUBLIC, in the use of the attribution conferring it Article 84, inciso IV, of the Constitution, in accordance with Article 25 of the Charter of the United Nations, promulgated by Decree No 19,841 of October 22, 1945,

Considering the promulgation of Decree No. 7,460 of April 14, 2011, which it incorporated into the Brazilian legal order Resolution No. 1970 (2011) of the United Nations Security Council, which, among other measures, has established arms embargo on Libya, as well as the travel ban and blocking of assets of individuals specifically assigned,

Considering the promulgation of Decree No. 7,527 of July 18, 2011, which it incorporated into the Brazilian legal order Resolution No. 1973 (2011) of the United Nations Security Council, which, among other arrangements, has strengthened the arms embargo and the blocking of assets imposed by Resolution 1970 (2011),

Considering the promulgation of Decree No. 7,607 of November 17, 2011, which it incorporated into the Brazilian legal order resolution No. 2009 (2011) of the United Nations Security Council, which modified the sanctions imposed on the Central Bank of Libya and the "Libyan Arab Foreign Bank", among other entities, and considering that, in 16 of December 2011, the Sanctions Committee established by United Nations Security Council Resolution No. 1970 (2011) on Libya decided, in the use of the powers conferred upon it, to exclude the Central Bank of Libya and the "Libyan Arab Foreign Bank" from the list of entities subjected to sanctions established by the United Nations Security Council,

D E C R E T A:

Art. 1º Stay excluded the Central Bank of Libya and the "Libyan Arab Foreign Bank" from the list of entities subject to the sanctions set out by United Nations Security Council Resolution 1970 (2011), incorporated into the legal order Brazilian by Decree No 7,460 of April 14, 2011 and modified by Resolutions No. 1973 (2011) and No 2009 (2011), incorporated into the Brazilian legal order by the Decrees No 7,527 of July 18, 2011, and No 7,607, November 17 of 2011, respectively.

Art. 2º Stay the Brazilian authorities obliged, within the framework of their respective assignments, to the observance of the provisions of this Decree.

Art. 3º This Decree shall enter into force on the date of its publication.
