Decree No. 7676, of 6 FEBRUARY 2012 adopts provisions concerning the performance on the national territory of decision of the sanctions Committee of the United Nations Security Council established by resolution 1970 (2011) concerning Libya, through which alter the list of entities subject to sanctions.
The President of the REPUBLIC, in the use of attribution which gives the article 84, paragraph IV, of the Constitution, in accordance with article 25 of the UN Charter, promulgated by Decree No. 19841, October 22, 1945 Whereas the promulgation of Decree No. 7460, of 14 April 2011, which incorporated to the Brazilian legal system resolution No. 1970 (2011) of the United Nations Security Council , which, among other matters, established arms embargo on Libya, as well as the travel ban and blocking assets of individuals specifically designated, Considering the promulgation of Decree No. 7527, of 18 July 2011, which incorporated to the Brazilian legal system resolution No. 1973 (2011) of the United Nations Security Council, which, among other matters , strengthened the arms embargo and the blockade of assets imposed by resolution No. 1970 (2011), Considering the promulgation of Decree No. 7607, from 17 November 2011, which incorporated to the Brazilian legal system resolution No. 2009 (2011) of the United Nations Security Council, which modified the sanctions imposed on the Central Bank of Libya and the Libyan Arab Foreign Bank " , among other entities, and whereas on 16 December 2011, the sanctions Committee established by resolution No. 1970 (2011) of the United Nations Security Council on Libya decided in the use of the powers gives the resolution, delete the Central Bank of Libya and the Libyan Arab Foreign Bank "under the list of entities subject to sanctions established by the Security Council of the United Nations , D and C R E T a: Art. 1 excludes the Central Bank of Libya and the Libyan Arab Foreign Bank "from the list of entities subject to the sanctions laid down by resolution No. 1970 (2011) of the United Nations Security Council, incorporated into the Brazilian legal system by Decree No. 7460, of 14 April 2011, and modified by Resolutions No. 1973 (2011) and 2009 (2011), incorporated into the Brazilian legal system by Decrees No. 7527 , 18 July 2011, and no. 7607, from 17 November 2011, respectively.
Art. second Are the Brazilian authorities obliged, within the framework of their respective powers, to the observance of the provisions of this Decree.
Art. 3 this Decree shall enter into force on the date of its publication.
