DECREE OF August 2, 2001.

Revoga the authorization granted to Banco Santander de Business S.A. for functioning in the Country.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, in the use of the assignments conferring you the art. 84, inciso IV, of the Constitution, and in view of the provisions of art. 52, single paragraph, of the Act of Transitional Constitutional Provisions,

DECRETA:

Art. 1º The authorization granted to Banco Santander of Business S.A. is revoked. for functioning in Brazil.

Art. 2º The Central Bank of Brazil shall adopt the necessary arrangements for the implementation of the provisions of this decree.

Art. 3º This Decree goes into effect on the date of its publication.

Art. 4º Revoga-if the December 14, 1994 Decree, which authorized the Santander Bank of Business S.A. operation in the Country.
