DECREE OF November 6, 2003.

Authorizes the increase in the social capital of the Bahia State Docks Company-CODEBA.

THE VICE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, in the exercise of the office of President of the Republic, using the attribution that confers him on art. 84, inciso IV, of the Constitution, and in view of the provisions of art. 4th of Decree-Law No 1,678 of February 22, 1979,

DECRETA:

Art. 1º It is authorized to increase the social capital of the Bahia State Docks Company-CODEBA of R$ 174,289,268.14 (one hundred and seventy-four million, two hundred and eighty-nine thousand, two hundred and sixty-eight reais and fourteen cents) to R$ 177,686,888.14 (one hundred and seventy seven million, six hundred and eighty-six thousand, eight hundred and eighty-eight reais and fourteen cents).

Art. 2º It shall be the Union authorized to:

I-subscribe to shares worth R$ 3,277,344.63 (three million, two hundred and seventy seven thousand, three hundred and forty-four real and sixty-three cents), upon the use of credits for investments of the Union in the Company ;

II-subscribe to shares up to the value of R$ 120,275.37 (one hundred and twenty thousand, two hundred and seventy and five reais and thirty-seven cents), should minority shareholders not exercise their right of preference within the time limit legal.

Art. 3º This Decree shall enter into force on the date of its publication.
