LEI No. 10,224, DE May 15, 2001

Altera the Decree-Law No. 2,848, of 7 of December 1940-Criminal Code, to displace on the crime of sexual harassment and gives other arrangements.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC

I make it known that the National Congress decrees and I sanction the following Law:

Art.1 ° The Decree-Law No. 2,848 of December 7, 1940-Criminal Code, passes in force plus the following art. 216-A:

"Sexual harassment" (AC) *

" Art. 216-A. To embarrass someone in order to gain advantage or sexual favorability, the agent of his / her hierarchical superior condition or ascension inherent in the exercise of employment, office or function shall prevail. " (AC)

"Pena-detention, from 1 (one) to 2 (two) years." (AC)

" Single Paragraph. (VETADO) "

Art. 2 ° This Act shall enter into force on the date of its publication.
