CONSTITUTIONAL PRESIDENT OF THE PLURINATIONAL STATE DEBOLIVIA
For the Plurinational Legislative Assembly, it has sanctioned The following Law:
PLURINATIONAL LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY,
D E C R E T A:
Single Article.
I. In accordance with Article 260 of the Constitution of the State, the determination of the Executive Body is approved
to denounce the "United Nations Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs of 1961 as amended by the Protocol of 1972". Amendment of the Single Convention of 1961 on Narcotic Drugs ", before July 1, 2011.
II. On January 1, 2012, the Executive Body will request its accession to the " United Nations Single Convention on
Narcotic Drugs of 1961 as amended by the 1972 Protocol of Amendment to the 1961 Single Convention on Narcotics ", simultaneously presenting a reservation on Article 49 numerals 1 (c) and 2 (e), linked to Article 26, in accordance with Article 384 of the Constitution of the State, which includes the preservation of the (acullico) of the coca leaf and is in agreement with the reserve presented on July 10 1990 to the United Nations Convention Against the Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances of 1988.
III. The Plurinational State of Bolivia, within the framework of its State Political Constitution, will fully comply with the
terms agreed upon in the " United Nations Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs of 1961 as amended by the Protocol of 1972 of Amendment of the Single Convention of 1961 on Narcotic Drugs ", until the new accession takes effect.
IV. Upon completion of the accession and reserve process, the Executive Body will refer to the
United Nations Single Convention
Narcotic Drugs of 1961 as amended by the 1972 Protocol of Amendment to the Single Convention of 1961 ". Drugs? and the respective reserve to the Plurinational Legislative Assembly for ratification in accordance with Article 158 (14) of the Constitution of the State.Remit to the Executive Body, for constitutional purposes.
It is given in the Session Room of the Plurinational Legislative Assembly, at the twenty-eight days of June of the
year two thousand eleven.
