CONSTITUTIONAL PRESIDENT OF THE PLURINATIONAL STATE OF BOLIVIA
For the Plurinational Legislative Assembly, has sanctioned the following Act:
THE PLURINATIONAL LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY,
DECRETA:
LAW OF FOURTH-LEVEL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH
Article 1. (OBJECT). This Law aims to establish the competency framework and the entity
responsible for the central level of the State, for the implementation and operation of the Institutes of the Fourth Level of Health.
Article 2. (COMPETITIVE FRAMEWORK). In the framework of Paragraph II of Article 297 of the Constitution
State Policy, is assigned to the central level of the State, the exclusive competence of the implementation and operation of the Institutes of the Fourth Level of Health.
Article 3. (INSTITUTES OF THE FOURTH LEVEL OF HEALTH).
I. The Fourth-Level Institutes of Health, are entities that offer highly specialized services, with capacity
resolution and research.
II. The services provided by the Institutes of the Fourth Level of Health comprise:
Outpatient and inpatient care in specialties, subspecialties, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation;
Scientific research in the field of your specialty;
Specialty and subspecialty care teaching functions;
Hosting and feeding for a family member or patient companion, when required.
Article 4. (RESPONSIBLE ENTITY). The central level of the State through the Ministry of Health is the
responsible for the implementation and operation of the Fourth Health Level Institutes.
Article 5. economic resources needed for the implementation and operation
of the Institutes of the Fourth Level of Health, will have the following sources of financing:
General Treasury of the Nation? TGN, according to financial availability;
Donations and credits;
Specific resources;
Other resources.
Remit to the Executive Body for constitutional purposes.
It is given in the Assembly Session Room Plurinational Legislative, at seventeen days of the month of
September of the year two thousand fifteen.

Therefore, I enact it so that it has and will comply as the Law of the Plurinational State of Bolivia.
