CONSTITUTIONAL PRESIDENT OF THE PLURINATIONAL STATE OF BOLIVIA

For the Plurinational Legislative Assembly, it has The following Act:

THE PLURINATIONAL LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY,

DECCRETA:

Article 1. In accordance with Article 158, Paragraph I, number 14, of the Constitution of the State, and

Article 37 of Law No. 401 of 18 September 2013, of the Celebration of Treaties, is ratified?Convention on Civil Aspects of the International Child Abduction, concluded in The Hague on October 25, 1980, with the Executive Body being entrusted to formalize the accession of the Plurinational State of Bolivia to the International Instrument.

Article 2. When adhering to the Convention, the following statement and reservations must be made:

Declaration. The Plurinational State of Bolivia understands that any provision relating to age in this Convention does not preclude the Bolivian legislation that stipulates the exercise of the Authority of the Mother, the Father or both, and keeps it until the age of 18.

Reserve. In relation to Article 24 of the?Convention on Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction?, foreign documents attached to Restitution Applications that are presented in English or French, must also attach a translation to Spanish made by a sworn translator.

Reservation. In relation to Article 26 of the?Convention on Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction?, the Plurinational State of Bolivia does not undertake to assume any expenses arising from the participation of a lawyer or legal advisors or the judicial process, except in the Such expenditure may be covered by a system of legal assistance and legal advice.
