The Chambers adopted and We sanction the following:
Article 1
er. This Act regulates a matter referred to in Article 77 of the Constitution.
Art. 2. Section 2 of the Act of 30 December 2009 on combating maritime piracy and amending the Judicial Code are amended as follows:
1° in § 1
er, the first sentence is supplemented by the words "on the initiative of the captain of a Belgian flag ship directly concerned by an act of piracy";
2° in § 1
erthe words "or the captain" are inserted between the words "the commander" and the words "produce a record";
3° in § 2, the words "or the captain" are inserted between the words "the commander" and the word "informed";
4° in § 2, the words "or the captain" are inserted between the words "the commander" and the word "execution";
5° § 3 is supplemented by the words "or the captain";
6° in § 4, the words "or the captain" are inserted between the words "the commander" and the word "train";
7° in § 5, paragraph 5, first sentence, the words "or the captain" are inserted between the words "the commander" and the words "and a copy of the arrest warrant";
8° in § 5, second sentence, in the fifth paragraph, the words "or the captain" are inserted between the words "the commander" and the word "test";
9° the article is supplemented by a § 7, written as follows:
Ҥ 7. If the master does not have Belgian nationality, the minutes referred to in this article may be written in English. "
Art. 3. This Act comes into force on the day of the coming into force of the Act of 16 January 2013 on various measures to combat maritime piracy.
Promulgation of this law, let us order that it be clothed with the seal of the State and published by the Belgian Monitor.
