The instrument of ratification, signed by the Federal President and countersigned by the Federal Chancellor, was deposited with the Secretary-General of the United Nations on 17 December 2003, pursuant to Article 15 (1) of the Protocol to the Convention. The Protocol to the Convention entered into force on 16 March 2004 in accordance with its Article 17 (2) for Austria.

Finland

In accordance with Annex I to the Protocol, the Republic of Finland confirms the year 1990 as the reference year.

Canada

Liechtenstein

In accordance with Article 11 (2) of the Protocol, the Principality of Liechtenstein declares that it recognises both the means of dispute referred to in this paragraph as binding to any party which has an obligation to do so in respect of one or more of the parties to the dispute. of both of these means of dispute resolution.

Luxembourg

In accordance with Article 3 (1) of the Protocol and Annex I to the Protocol, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg shall declare the year 1990 as the reference year.

Monaco

In accordance with Article 3 (1) and Annex I to the Protocol, the Principality of Monaco shall declare the year 1992 as the reference year.

Norway

In accordance with Article 3 (1) and Annex I to the Protocol, the Kingdom of Norway declares the year 1990 as the reference year.

Norway, in accordance with Article 11 (2) of the Protocol, declares that it recognises the following means of dispute settlement as binding to any party which has the same obligation:

a)		Submission of the dispute to the International Court of Justice.

Romania

In accordance with Article 3 (1) and Annex I to the Protocol, Romania declares the year 1989 as the reference year.

Slovakia

In accordance with Article 3 (1) and Annex I to the Protocol, the Slovak Republic declares the year 1990 as the reference year.
