239. Ordinance of the Federal Minister of Science and Research on the Doctoral Studies of the Social and Economic Sciences for graduates of universities of applied sciences of economic direction

On the basis of § 5 (3) and (3a) of the Federal Law on Universities of Applied Sciences (FHStG), BGBl. No 340/1993, as last amended by the Federal Law BGBl. I n ° 43/2006 and the Federal Ministries of the Federal Ministries of Law 2007, BGBl. I n ° 6, shall be assigned:

Admission to doctoral studies

§ 1. Graduates of the following universities of applied sciences have the right to admission to the doctoral studies of the social and economic sciences:

§ 2. (1) Graduates of the following Master's degree programme, which is less than four semesters, have the right to be admitted to a doctoral degree in social and economic sciences, which is extended by two semesters:

(2) Graduates of the following Master's degree programme, which is less than four semesters, have the right to be admitted to a doctoral degree in social and economic sciences, which is extended by one semester:

Additional requirements

§ 3. (1) In the course of the doctoral studies, which are extended by two semesters, graduates of the University of Applied Sciences Master's degree program referred to in § 2 paragraph 1

Basic subjects in the total amount up to 24 semester hours

2.

Subject-specific supplementary subjects for introduction to the scientific methodology of the subject area of the dissertation in the total amount of up to 10 semester hours

3.

In-depth subjects for in-depth training in the subject area of the dissertation in the total amount of up to 10 semester hours

to complete.

(2) In the course of the doctoral studies extended by one semester, graduates of the University of Applied Sciences Master's degree program referred to in § 2 (2) have

Basic subjects in the total amount up to 12 semester hours

2.

Subject-specific supplementary subjects for introduction to the scientific methodology of the subject area of the dissertation in the total amount of up to 5 semester hours

3.

In-depth subjects for in-depth training in the subject area of the dissertation in the total amount of up to 5 semester hours

to complete.

(3) The selection of courses from these subjects, taking into account the framework conditions specified by the doctoral study plan of the respective university, and after consultation with the student and the supervisor, or the Supervisor of the dissertation by the institution responsible for the enforcement of the provisions of the study regulations (§ 19 paragraph 2 Z 2 of the University Act 2002, BGBl. I n ° 120). For this purpose, the subject-specific requirements of the dissertation should be taken into consideration. The courses are to be recorded.
