48. Representing the Federal Chancellor concerning the scope of the Convention, drawn up by the Council in accordance with Article 34 of the Treaty on European Union, on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters between the Member States of the European Union

According to the Secretary-General of the Council of the European Union, Hungary 1 on 25 August 2005, on the occasion of the deposit of its instrument of accession to the Convention, drawn up by the Council in accordance with Article 34 of the Treaty on European Union, on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters between the Member States of the European Union (Revelation in BGBl. III No 65/2005, last proclamation of the BGBl area. III (11/2009)), as follows:

According to Art. 24 of the Convention, Hungary declares:

With regard to Article 3 (1) of the Convention, the Attorney General shall, in accordance with the provisions of this Article, accept and submit to it.

With regard to Article 6 (5) and (6) of the Convention, the central authorities shall accept and submit requests in accordance with this Article. The Attorney General and the Ministry of Justice are the central authorities.

With regard to Article 6 (8) of the Convention, the Ministry of Justice accepts and presents requests for the temporary transfer of persons in custody. The Attorney General accepts requests for information on convictions and presents them.

With regard to Art. 10 (9): the hearing of an accused person can only be carried out by means of a video conference if the consent has been given in writing.

With regard to Articles 18, 19 and 20, the Attorney General accepts requests and presents them, in accordance with these articles. The twenty-four-hour contact point pursuant to Art. 20 (4) is the NEBEK (International Centre for Cooperation in Criminal Matters).

According to a further notice from the Secretary-General of the Council, Germany 2 5. January 2009 with reference to Art. 24 (1) (lit). e of the Convention as the competent contact point pursuant to Art. 20 (4) (lit). (d) the following body:
