42. Bundesgesetz (Federal Law), which amended the Law on the Promotion of Journalism in 1984 and the Press Promotion Act 2004.

The National Council has decided:

Article 1

Amendment of the Law on Journalism Promotion 1984

The Public-Promotion Act 1984 (PubFG), BGBl. No. 369, as last amended by the Federal Law BGBl. I n ° 113/2006, is hereby amended as follows:

§ 11 is deleted.

Article 2

Amendment of the Press Promotion Act 2004

The Federal Act on the Promotion of the Press (Press Promotion Act 2004-PresseFG 2004), Federal Law Gazette (BGBl). I n ° 136/2003, as last amended by the Federal Law BGBl. I n ° 52/2009, shall be amended as follows:

1. In Section 3 (1), after the phrase "the promotion of research projects in accordance with § 11 para. 3" the phrase "and the promotion of self-control of the press pursuant to § 12a" inserted.

2. In Section 12a (2), the word "Fallen" by "accumulating" replaced.

3. In Section 12a (2), the last sentence shall be replaced by the following three sentences:

" The request shall contain statements on the costs incurred in the performance of the tasks. Funds that are not dedicated to this are to be repaid. Notwithstanding the other statutory provisions in this Federal Act, the year 2010 shall be subject to an application by 1 August. "

4. The following paragraph 6 is added to § 17:

" (6) § 3 and § 12a in the version of the Federal Law BGBl. I n ° 42/2010 will be 1. Jänner 2010 in force. "
