327. Regulation of the Federal Minister of health concerning the prohibition on the use of Bisphenol A in soothers and teething rings

On the basis of § 19 para 1 of the food safety and Consumer Protection Act - LMSVG, Federal Law Gazette I no. 13/2006, as last amended by Federal Law Gazette I no. 95/2010, is prescribed:

§ 1 (1) pacifiers and teethers are covered by this Regulation (commodities in accordance with § 3 No. 7 lit. c LMSVG).

(2) it is prohibited to create soothers and teethers with Bisphenol A or to bring in traffic.

2. (1) this regulation three months after the first month following their by-laws enter into force.

(2) pacifiers and teethers, which comply with this regulation not, may be placed until the dismantling of stocks on the market.

§ 3. This regulation is in accordance with the provisions of Directive 98/34/EC establishing an information procedure in the field of technical standards and regulations, OJ No. L 204 of the 21.07.1998, p. 37, as amended by Directive 98/48/EC, OJ No. L 217 of the 05.08.1998, p. 18, the European Commission shall notify (Notifikationsnummer 2011/0050/A).
