164. Proclamation of the Federal Chancellor concerning the scope of the Convention on wetlands, especially as a Habitat for water birds and Charadriiformes, of international importance
Notification of the following Ramsar area in accordance with article 2 paragraph 5 of the Convention on wetlands, especially as a Habitat for water birds and Charadriiformes, by international Services1 Autertal - St. Lorenzener St. Lorenzener high Moor bog, also "Autertal" called (N 46 ° 52', E 13 ° 55') Alps in the Austrian State of Carinthia, in the area of the Gurktaler is located in the municipality of Reichenau (district of Feldkirchen) near the Turracher Höhe. The wetland area is situated in a NW-SE oriented approximately 1.5 km long Valley in 1470 m above sea level directly north of the village of St. Lorenzen. The Valley is bordered to the East by the foothills of the small of Speikkofels (2109 m) and large (2270 m) and to the West by the long ridge of the Hochkasers (1804 m).
The authorization to submit of such notification was signed by the Federal President on 2 August 2011 and countersigned by the Federal Chancellor; the above area was recorded September 12, 2011 with in the list of "Wetlands of international importance".
