177. Declaration by the Republic of Austria pursuant to Article 2 (5) of the European Convention on the delivery of documents in administrative matters abroad

Declaration in pursuance of the provisions of Article 2, paragraph 5, of the European Convention on the Service Abroad of Documents relating to Administrative Matters

Referring to the European Convention on the Service Abroad of Documents relating to Administrative Matters (ETS No. 94), the Republic of Austria declares

in pursuance of Art. 2 (5) that the following authorities are hereby designated as central authorities to receive and take action on requests for service of documents emanating from authorities of other Contracting States:

A.

in respect of documents relating to matters concerning refugees, arms and weapons, or police regulations on aliens, for the whole federal territory, the Federal Ministry of the Interior (Federal Ministry of the Interior), Herrengasse 7, 1014 Vienna,

B.

otherwise, for each of the Lände r the Office of the State Government (Office of the Country government) as follows:

(a)

for the Country of Burgenland: Office of the Burgenland State Government, Europaplatz 1, 7000 Eisenstadt;

(b)

for the Country of Kärnten: Office of the Carinthian State Government, Arnulfplatz 1, 9020 Klagenfurt am Wörthersee;

(c)

for the Country of Lower Austria: Office of the Lower Austrian State Government, Landhausplatz 1, 3109 St. Pölten;

(d)

for the Country of Upper Austria: Office of the Upper Austrian State Government, Landhausplatz 1, 4021 Linz;

(e)

for the Country of Salzburg: Office of the Salzburg State Government, Postfach 527/Chiemseehof, 5010 Salzburg;

(f)

for the Country of Steiermark: Office of the Styrian State Government, 8011 Graz-Burg;

(g)

for the Country of Tirol: Amt der Tiroler Landesregierung, Eduard-Wallnöfer-Platz 3, 6020 Innsbruck;

(h)

for the Country of Vorarlberg: Office of the State Government of Vorarlberg, Landhaus, 6901 Bregenz;

(i)

for the Country of Vienna: Office of the Vienna State Government, City Hall, 1082 Vienna.

Declaration in accordance with Article 2 (5) of the European Convention on the service of documents in administrative matters abroad 1

With reference to the European Convention on the service of documents in administrative matters abroad (SEV No 94), the Republic of Austria declares that:

within the meaning of Article 2 (5), that, as central authorities, which accept and process requests for delivery from the authorities of other contracting States,

A.

for documents relating to the affairs of the refugee system, the weapons system or the tourist police system, the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Herrengasse 7, 1014 Vienna, for the entire Federal territory,

B.

For each country, the Office of the State Government is determined, namely:

a)

for the country Burgenland: Office of the Burgenland State Government, Europaplatz 1, 7000 Eisenstadt;

b)

for the Land Tirol: Office of the Tyrolean State Government, Eduard-Wallnöfer-Platz 3, 6020 Innsbruck;

h)

for the State of Vorarlberg: Office of the State Government of Vorarlberg, Landhaus, 6901 Bregenz;

i)

for the Land of Vienna: Office of the Vienna State Government, City Hall, 1082 Vienna.

The reception of the declaration was confirmed by the Secretary General of the Council of Europe on 22 November 2011.
