On the occasion of the deposit of its instrument of ratification, El Salvador has made the following interpretative statement:
El Salvador:
With regard to Article 10 of this Convention, the Government of the Republic of El Salvador considers that the content of paragraph 1 of this article does not recognise, by or compulsory, any dispute under the jurisdiction of the Republic of El Salvador. International Court of Justice means that it is solely at the discretion of each State Party if it agrees to submit to such jurisdiction, since the Republic of El Salvador has jurisdiction over the jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice.
