65. Regulation of the Federal Minister of Labour, Social Affairs and Consumer Protection for the short-term employment of foreign harvest workers in agriculture

Due to § 5 paragraph 2 Z 2 of the Foreigners Employment Act-AuslBG, BGBl. No. 218/1975, as last amended by the Federal Law BGBl. I No 25/2011, shall be assigned:

§ 1. For the agricultural sector, a quota of 2 380 for the short-term employment of foreign harvest workers will be fixed, which will be divided among the Länder as follows:

Burgenland: ........................................................... 285

Upper Austria: .............................................................. 125

Salzburg: ....................................................... 10

Steiermark: ............................................................... 980

Tyrol: ....................................................... 85

§ 2. (1) In the framework of the quotas referred to above, employment permits may be granted throughout the period of validity of this Regulation. The period of validity shall not exceed six weeks and shall not end after 30 November 2012.

(2) Nationals subject to the transitional provisions on the free movement of workers of the EU (§ 32a AuslBG), and asylum seekers are to be preferred in the granting of the employment permits.

§ 3. This Regulation shall expire on the expiry of 30 November 2012.
