87. multilateral agreement M243 after section 1.5.1 ADR for the carriage of UN 1402, CALCIUM CARBIDE of class 4.3, packing group I, in tanks

 



(1) by way of derogation from the provisions in Chapter 3.2, table A, column (12) and (13) ADR, may UN 1402 CALCIUM CARBIDE of class 4.3, packing group I, are transported in tanks, provided that the following conditions are met: a) this substance may be carried only in tanks of the tank coding S2,65AN(+).

(b) the tanks shall, in addition to the information in paragraph 6.8.2.5.2 marked "do not open during carriage. IS FLAMMABLE GASES IN CONTACT WITH WATER'.

The markings must be drawn up in an official language of the country of admission and, if this language is not German, English or French, also in German, English or French, if not arrangements between the countries affected by carriage prescribe something else.

(c) during the transport of these substances through an inert gas must be covered, the printing must be at least 50 kPa (0,5 bar) (gauge).

(d) the tank hierarchy according to paragraph 4.3.4.1.2 is not applicable ADR.

(e) the tanks may be filled with material only up to 90% of their version space.

f) uncleaned empty tanks which have contained these substances, must be filled with the task to transport with an inert gas at a pressure of at least 50 kPa (0,5 bar) (gauge).

(2) in addition to the information required has to indicate the sender in the transport document: "Carriage agreed under section 1.5.1 ADR (M243)".

(3) this agreement is valid until December 31, 2012 for transport operations in the territory of the ADR Contracting States which have signed this agreement. It is revoked before that date by one of the signatories, so she up to above point only applies to promotions in the territories of those ADR Contracting States which have signed this agreement and has not revoked.

under section 1.5.1 of ADR concerning the carriage of UN 1402, CALCIUM CARBIDE, class 4.3, packing group I, in tanks



(1) by derogation from the provisions in column (12) and (13) of table A, chapter 3.2, ADR, UN 1402 CALCIUM CARBIDE, class 4.3, packing group I, may be carried in tanks, provided the following conditions are met: (a) this substance may be carried only in tanks with the tank code S2.65AN(+).

(b) tanks shall bear in addition to the particulars prescribed in 6.8.2.5.2, the words: "DO emergency of OPEN DURING CARRIAGE." "GIVES OFF FLAMMABLE GASES ON CONTACT WITH WATER" these particulars shall be in in official language of the country of approval, and so, if that language is emergency English, French or German, in English, French or German, unless any agreements concluded between the countries concerned in the transport operation provide otherwise.

(c) during carriage, these substances shall be under a layer of inert gas, the gauge pressure of which shall not be less than 50 kPa (0.5 bar).

(d) the model in 4.3.4.1.2 is not applicable.

(e) the tank shall be filled to not more than 90% of their capacity.

(f) uncleaned empty tanks which have contained these substances shall when handed over for carriage be filled with on inert gas at a gauge pressure of at least 50 kPa (0.5 bar).

(2) in addition to the information prescribed, the consignor shall enter in the transport document: "carriage agreed under the terms of section 1.5.1 of ADR (M243)".

(3) this agreement shall be valid until 31 December 2012 for the carriage on the territories of those ADR Contracting Parties signatory to this agreement. If it is revoked before that date by one of the signatories, it shall remain valid until the above mentioned date only for carriage on the territories of those ADR Contracting Parties signatory to this agreement which have emergency revoked it.

 

The agreement was signed by Austria on May 19, 2012.
