Key Benefits:
359. Regulation of the Federal Minister of Health, which changes the Drinking Water Regulation
Pursuant to § § 6 (1) and (3), 19 (1) and 36 (13) of the Food Safety and Consumer Protection Act (LMSVG), BGBl. I n ° 13/2006, as last amended by the Federal Law BGBl. I No 95/2010, shall be arranged:
The Drinking Water Ordinance-TWV, BGBl. II No 304/2001, as last amended by the BGBl Regulation. II No 121/2007, shall be amended as follows:
1. § 6 para. 2 Z 3 shall be followed by the following lit. c to f is added:
" (c) |
Concentration of hydrogen ion (pH) |
|||||||||
d) |
Total hardness ° dH |
|||||||||
e) |
Carbonate hardness ° dH (acid capacity up to pH 4.3) |
|||||||||
f) |
potassium, calcium, magnesium and sodium, or Chloride and sulphate (mg/l) " |
2. In § 7 Z 3 the sentence is deleted "This does not apply to the parameters for radioactivity." .
(3) In Annex I, Part B, the following parameter shall be inserted in accordance with the alphabetical order of the following:
" Parameters |
Parameter Value |
Device |
Notes |
Uran |
15 |
µ g/l " |
4. In Annex I, Part B, note 6, the substance number 16 is:
" 16. Deltamethrin "
(5) In Annex I, Part B, note 6, the word sequence shall be: "and the relevant metabolites, degradation and reaction products" through the phrase "and the relevant metabolites, degradation and reaction products" replaced.
(6) In Annex I, Part C, the following indicators are as follows:
" Indicator parameters |

7. Annex II, Part A, Z 2 reads:
" 2. Comprehensive controls (full investigation)
All parameters of Annex I
Depending on the type of disinfection process used:
Chlorination:
-Concentration of chlorine compounds
Ozone:
-Concentration of ozone
UV irradiation:
-UV-transmittance of water (253.7 nm; 100 mm layer thickness)
-flow of water
-Reference irradiance (W/m) 2 ), reading on the display of the plant radiometer (sensor)
Furthermore, such parameters are determined, which enable the calculation of the ion balance and the characterization of the water (total hardness ° dH, carbonate hardness ° dH (acid capacity up to pH 4.3), calcium, potassium, magnesium). " |
8. In Annex II, Part A, Z 3, the penultimate sentence is:
"Furthermore, such parameters are determined, which enable the calculation of the ion balance and the characterization of the water (total hardness ° dH, carbonate hardness ° dH (acid capacity up to pH 4.3), calcium, potassium, magnesium, sodium)." |
9. Annex II, Part B, note 5 reads:
" The indicator parameters for the radioactivity are to be determined only once. In the case of changes to the water supply system, which can lead to a relevant increase in radioactivity (in any case, in the case of new water dispensers), a new investigation is to be carried out. In the event that indicator parameter values are exceeded, the competent authority may require further investigations into radioactivity in individual cases. "
10. In point 2.1 of Annex III, the following parameter shall be inserted in accordance with the alphabetical order of the following:
" Parameters |
