9. Federal Law, with which the Compensation Fund Act and the Federal Law on the National Fund of the Republic of Austria for Victims of National Socialism are amended

The National Council has decided:

Article I

The Compensation Fund Act, BGBl. I n ° 12/2001, as last amended by the Federal Law BGBl. I n ° 54/2009, shall be amended as follows:

The following paragraph 6 shall be added to § 4:

" (6) After the performance of his duties, the application committee shall draw up a final report by 1 September 2015 and submit it to the Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees shall forward the final report to the Main Committee of the National Council. With the conclusion of the final report by the Main Committee, the Committee on Application is dissolved. "

2. In accordance with § 13, the following § 13a and title shall be inserted:

" Statute of limitations

§ 13a. Claims for benefits under Part 1 of this Federal Law shall expire in five years from the end of the day of the notification of the decision of the application committee on the amount of the receivables, but at the earliest with expiry of the 31 December 2017. "

The following paragraph 6 shall be added to Article 23:

" (6) After the performance of their duties, the arbitration body shall draw up a final report by 1 September 2018 and transmit it to the Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees shall forward the final report to the Main Committee of the National Council. With the conclusion of the final report by the Main Committee, the arbitration committee is dissolved. "

4. § 38 reads:

" § 38. (1) Where and to the extent that countries or municipalities provide for the natural restitution of public property, they may provide the arbitration body by 31 December 2013 for the examination of applications for natural restitution, in accordance with these provisions in a meaningful way. The costs incurred are to be borne by the respective country or municipality.

(2) By way of derogation from § 29, the application period ends with the expiry of the 24. Calendar month after the date on which the country or municipality has made use of the possibility of paragraph 1. The General Compensation Fund shall be notified of these deadlines in an appropriate manner. "

5. The previous text of § 45 receives the sales designation "(1)" ; the following paragraph 2 shall be added:

" (2) § 4 para. 6, § 13a, § 23 (6) and § 38 in the version of the Federal Law BGBl. I n ° 9/2013 will be 1. Jänner 2013 in force. "

Article II

The Federal Act on the National Fund of the Republic of Austria for Victims of National Socialism, BGBl. No 432/1995, as last amended by the Federal Law BGBl. I No 128/2011, shall be amended as follows:

1. In accordance with Section 2b (6), the following sentence is added:

"In addition, remaining funds are to be used for programmes in favour of victims of National Socialism."

2. § 2b the following paragraph 9 is added:

"(9) Claims for benefits pursuant to § 2b shall expire in five years from the end of the day of their award by the Committee, but at the earliest with the expiry of the 31 December 2017."

3. § 8 the following paragraph 4 is added:

" (4) § 2b (6) and § 2b (9) in the version of the Federal Law BGBl. I n ° 9/2013 will be 1. Jänner 2013 in force. "
