12. modifications of appendix1 to the procedure for the international carriage of dangerous goods (RID), annex C of the Convention on international carriage by rail (COTIF) 2

The Committee of experts for the transport of dangerous goods of RID has on the occasion of his 50th, 51st and 52nd meeting (Malmö, 21 to 25 November 2011, Bern, 30 and 31 May 2012 and Riga, November 13, 2012) decided to change the rules for the international carriage of dangerous goods (RID) as follows:

The references to "Errata no. 1" aux text de notification OTIF/RID/emergency/2013, "Error directory 1" to the Notifizierungstexten OTIF/RID/emergency/2013 and "Corrigendum 1" to the notification text OTIF/RID/emergency/2013 concern recesses of corrections, according to the Secretariat of the intergovernmental organisation for international carriage by rail (OTIF) already sent error directory 1. The instructions on OTIF/RID/NOT/2013/Add.1 concerning the decisions of the 52nd meeting of the Technical Committee.

 

After notification of the Secretariat of the intergovernmental organisation for international carriage by rail (OTIF), no Member State against the amended texts has raised opposition; the amendments enter into force in accordance with article 21 § 2 of the COTIF with 1 January 2013.

With these by-laws the directive becomes the second adaptation of the annexes to Directive 2008/68/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the carriage of dangerous goods by inland to scientific and technical progress, OJ 2012/45/EU No. L 332 of the 4.12.2012 p. 18, with regard to annex II. implemented 1.
