24. The Federal Chancellor's announcement concerning the scope of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court

According to the Communications of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the following States have ratified their instruments of ratification or ratification. The States below have, on the occasion of the deposit of their instruments of ratification, The following declarations were made:

Guatemala:

1.

According to Art. 87 (1) (lit). A request for cooperation of the International Criminal Court should be sent by diplomatic means to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Guatemala.

2.

In accordance with Article 87 (2) of the Statute, requests for cooperation between the International Criminal Court and any additional documents in Spanish must be drafted or accompanied by a translation into Spanish.

Cape Verde:

With regard to Article 87 (2) of the Staff Regulations, Cape Verde states that any request for cooperation and any additional documents which it receives from the Court of Justice shall be transmitted through diplomatic channels via the Embassy in Brussels, preferably in Portuguese or a translation into the Portuguese language.

According to other communications from the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the following statements have been made:

Luxembourg 1 :

1.

In accordance with the provisions of Article 87 (1) of the Staff Regulations, Luxembourg shall designate the General Prosecutor's Office as the central authority within the meaning of Article 87 of the Staff Regulations.

2.

According to the provisions of Art. 103 (1) (lit). (a) and (b) of the Staff Regulations, Luxembourg declares its readiness to take over persons sentenced to prison by the Court of Justice for the purpose of serving the sentence if such persons are nationals of Luxembourg or persons of ordinary persons Stay in Luxembourg.

United Kingdom 2 :

In a communication dated 28 November 2012, the United Kingdom Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland informed the Secretary-General of the following:

The Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland wishes to ratify the Rome Statute by the United Kingdom on the territory of the Isle of Man, for whose international relations the United Kingdom is responsible for extending it.

The Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is of the opinion that the extension of the aforementioned Rome Statute to the Isle of Man on the first day of the month after the sixtieth day of the deposit of the latter Communication shall enter into force.
