143. by-laws of the Federal Chancellor concerning the field of application of the additional protocol to the European Convention on information on foreign law
After notification of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, its ratification of the additional protocol to the European Convention on information on foreign law has Bosnia and Herzegovina on May 17, 2013 (Federal Law Gazette No. 179/1980, last proclamation of the scope BGBl. III No. 96/2013) deposited.
A further communication from the Secretary-General according to Spain has adopted article 9 of the additional protocol according following March 5, 2008 Declaration:
In the event that the additional protocol to the European Convention on information on foreign law shall be extended by the United Kingdom on Gibraltar, the Kingdom of Spain would like to make following statement:
1. Gibraltar is a territory without self government, for whose international relations the United Kingdom is responsible and which is in a process of decolonization after the relevant decisions and resolutions of the General Assembly of the United Nations.
2. the authorities of Gibraltar are of a local nature and exercise based on the distribution and Division of responsibilities exclusively internal responsibilities with origin, which takes in the United Kingdom in accordance with the provisions of its national legislation and in its capacity as a sovereign State, which the mentioned territory without self government depends.
3. thus is the possible involvement of the authorities of Gibraltar in the application of the Protocol be understood as that takes place exclusively within the internal jurisdiction of Gibraltar, and may not so be regarded as affecting the two preceding paragraphs.
