Notification of the following Ramsar area in accordance with article 2 paragraph 5 of the Convention on wetlands, especially as Habitat for water birds and Charadriiformes, by international Services1


Ramsar area "Wilder Kaiser" the Ramsar area "Wilder Kaiser" stretches for the most part on a part of the existing reserve Kaisergebirge, LGBl. Nr. 21 / 1963.


It is located on the areas of the municipalities of Kufstein, St. Johann in Tirol, Kirchdorf in Tirol, Scheffau, Ellmau, going, and stretches to a height of 2344 m at the Ellmauer halt from an altitude of 480 m.

Starting the area stretches from the Waller meadow in northwestern ostnordostwärts along the Northern waste of the Zettenkaiserkopf and the Safi in the direction of Valley furnace, from there ostnordostwärts the rough Valley road to the high angle. From there east-northeast to the Griesner meadow and along the Imperial Valley to the Griesenau. From there, the delimitation veers South, see recess the Maidan meadow through the chalk pit to the meadow of the cobbler. Further Northwest to the chalk ground, thence Southeast to the Maukalm, westsüdwestwärts to the Maukspitze Southeast to the Gamskögerl, in West direction to the Guild Trail South to the burning Palven follow this, then westward via the Gaudeamus Hut to the grutten hut along the Gruttenweges over Länggries, northward to Wegscheid Hochalm direction Schneekar, then west southwest to the Emperor's Meadow, Emperor low realm. Thence Northwest to the Steiner high pastures, around 500 m South, where the demarcation makes a bend to the West of Hölzentalalm and from there to the North back to the Waller meadow. The South-Eastern part of the Ramsar area, who no longer belongs to the Kaisergebirge nature reserve, joins near the Gaudeamus hut. The demarcation runs in an easterly direction to the upper rain meadow, next to the Schleierfall, the thief furnaces, Grandneralm up to the Gscheuerkopf. Thence north to the Altmoser ditch, further to the South to the Gscheuergraben, in turn to the north direction Schuster ALM, South to the butcher meadow, eastwards to the Bacheralm to the Hautzenalm, from there South to the Gmailkapelle, further South to the Hermitage and from there northwards to the shadow biosphere. Now the demarcation continues towards Hüttling West along the ridge of the lesser Emperor the southwestern foothills of the Gscheuerkopfes, South to the Grandner, the Rettenbach along North up to 100 m south of Kote 811, thence southward to the Inn Römerhof, West and then North to the Hüttlingberg. Thence east to the Aschauer Bach, the low rain Alm and the grass point Niederalm saving out to the Scheiblberg to the Tannbichlbach. The Valley southwards roughly 1 km from there about is also the Ramsar area. Further the area around the Grünberg extends westward to the home Creek and this North following back to the hut of the Gaudeamus.


The authorization to submit of such notification was signed by the Federal President on March 18, 2013 and countersigned by the Federal Chancellor; the above area was recorded with April 8, 2013 in the list of "Wetlands of international importance".
