500. Regulation of the Federal Minister for Home Affairs, with responsibilities in the field of border control being transferred
On the basis of Section 14 (3) of the German Border Control Act (GrekoG), BGBl. I No 435/1996, as last amended by the Federal Law of the Federal Republic of Germany (BGBl). I n ° 68/2013, shall be arranged:
Border control in transport
§ 1. (1) Insofar as an inter-governmental agreement according to § 14 of the GrekoG determines in which means of transport travellers already during the journey in a neighbouring state of the Republic of Austria by the competent Austrian security authorities of the Border control may be subject to border control without the inter-governmental agreement being expressly designated as having jurisdiction by a specific Austrian safety authority, that competence shall be transferred to the State Police Directorates.
(2) The local jurisdiction referred to in paragraph 1 shall be based on the local area of action of the police directorates whose territory the traveller is seeking to enter into Austria.

§ 2. This Regulation shall enter into force 1. Jänner 2014 in force.
