The Constitutional Court has recognized to rightly G 88/2013-7, the Federal Chancellor with knowledge from 26 February 2014, on 12 March 2014:

"("Das Wort "ehelicher" und die Wortfolge ", b) in illegitimate birth mother" in section 8, paragraph 2, as well as the words "marital" and "illegitimate" in article 8 para. 3 StbG 1985, BGBl. No. 311, were unconstitutional. "
