60. Presentation by the Federal Minister of Arts and Culture, Constitution and Public Service concerning the adoption of a new Annex V to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification in the Drought And/or Desertification of Desertification countries affected, in particular in Africa

On the basis of § 5 paragraph 1 Z 6 of the Federal Law on the Federal Law Gazette 2004 (BGBlG), BGBl. I n ° 100/2003 idgF, shall be made known:

At the fourth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification in Those Countries Experiencing Serious Drought and/or Desertification, Particularly in Africa (BGBl. III n ° 139/1997, last proclamation of the BGBl area. III No 44/2014), the Contracting Parties adopted, on 22 December 2000, the following new Annex V to the Convention:

According to the note by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Annex V came into force in accordance with Article 31 (3) of the Convention with 6 September 2001.

Due to § 5 (2) of the Federal Law on the Federal Law Gazette 2004 (BGBlG), BGBl. I n ° 100/2003 idgF, in connection with the decision of the National Council pursuant to Art. 49 (2) B-VG to the Convention, the Annex V in Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish shall be established by the Federal Ministry for Europe, integration and exterior.
