Council of Europe Convention for the Prevention and Control of Violence against Women and Domestic Violence

The instrument of ratification, signed by the Federal President and countersigned by the Federal Chancellor, was deposited with the Secretary-General of the Council of Europe on 14 November 2013; the Convention shall be in force on 1 August 2014 in accordance with Article 75 (3) of the Convention. .

According to information from the Secretary-General of the Council of Europe, the following additional States have ratified or adopted the Convention:

Albania, Andorra 1 , Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denmark 1 (excluding Faroe Islands and Greenland), Italy, Montenegro, Portugal, Serbia 1 , Spain 1 , Turkey.

Since the entry into force of the Convention, the following States have had their instruments of ratification or Acceptance certificates deposited:
