165. Presentation by the Federal Minister for Arts and Culture, the Constitution and the media concerning the scope of the European Framework Convention on Cross-border Cooperation between Local Authorities

According to the note by the Secretary-General of the Council of Europe, Cyprus, on 18 December 2013, adopted its instrument of ratification of the European Framework Convention on Cross-border Cooperation between Local Authorities (BGBl). No 52/1983, last proclamation of the BGBl area. III N ° 87/2013), on the occasion of which a declaration 1 in accordance with Art. 2 (2).

In addition, on 17 July 2014, Cyprus, in accordance with the provisions of Article 3 (5) of the Framework Convention, has, in accordance with its legal order, the Minister of the Interior or a person authorised by him, acting as the competent authority for the exercise of control, supervision or Monitoring with regard to local authorities, both for the implementation of the Framework Convention and for its protocols.
